After working as a university English teacher, a corporate magazine editor and speechwriter, and an arts fundraiser, Callie returned to ceramics for the joy of quieting her mind by thinking with her hands.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eShe uses traditional hand-building techniques of pinch, coil, and slab.  Her tactile, organic vessels are rough and smooth, painted, glazed, unglazed, carved, flawed and scarred, embodying the emotional resonance of her many memories.
